Daniel Ritter ist ein Allrounder im Designernetzwerk. Sein Möbel-Design beschränkt sich nicht nur auf bestimmte Produkte, sondern fasst neben Betten ebenso Tische und Beistelltische als auch Entwürfe für Stühle auf. Somit bietet er eine breite Auswahl für Möbel in nahezu allen Wohnbereichen.
Wir stellen Ihnen Daniel Ritter hier im Interview etwas näher vor!
 
 
When did you get into contact with design for the first time?

My grandfather used to be a painter and perhaps I got some of my initial influences from him. At around 13-14 years of age I decided that I wanted to study either industrial design or architecture. I finally went for industrial design. To me, furniture design is a good mix between the industrial design and architectural world.
 
Do you remember your first draft? Is it still significant to you?
I didn't draw that much at a young age, it was first when I started my education in design that I started producing concepts of various sort. One of my first big project was together with General Motors in the USA. A car design project focused on individuality which I still today take inspiration from.
 
If you had to choose, which one of your designs would you take with you on a lonely island?
Oh tough one... Probably a small flying personal transport jet plan covered with solar-cells, filled with the chlorophyll from plants, powering the craft in an environmentally friendly and new way. 
 
Where comes your inspiration from? Your ideas?
From everyday life. Anywhere from problems that I think needs to be solved to other areas such as architecture, the car industry and how nature does things. Why invent the wheel again when nature most of the time already has?
 
What's the role of design for you?
To be able to develop new ideas and products that improve peoples life, helps the environment and makes the world a more rewarding place to live in.
 
Can you tell me something about your philosophy or device you work with?
I'm driven by creativity, I thinks it's been in me since I was a kid, the urge to develop and create things. For me, creativity is the perfect drug.
 
Is there anything you would like to tell our customers?
I believe everyone has a creative sense, don't be afraid to use it. If you don't feel like creating things by yourself, buy good design that allows you to create a whole from different smaller pieces. The way you can be creative is only limited by your creativity.
 
Is there anything else you would like to add?

I think I said enough, now its up to everyone to make the world a better looking place.
